Founded in 1830 in Geneva Switzerland by brothers Louis-Victor and Celestin Baume, the Maison d’Horlogerie Baume & Mercier is the seventh oldest watch brand in the world, marking its 190th anniversary in 2020. Louis-Victor was a true visionary who intuitively sensed women’s interest in watchmaking, gifting his daughter Melina a gold pocket-watch in 1869. Continuing tradition, Baume & Mercier is often purchased as a gift to mark a celebration or special moment and is still noted for its rich heritage and superior craftsmanship of men’s and women’s timepieces.
